Civil Engineer/Project Manager-

Blakeway Corporation is currently seeking a Civil Engineer/Project Manager for our Virginia Beach office.  The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience and FE or PE Certification.  In addition to design experience in site development, roadway design, drainage/stormwater and utilities, candidates for this position should have strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Experience with Autocad Civil 3D a must.

Survey Drafting Technician-

Blakeway is seeking a Drafting Technician with 3+ years of experience for our surveying department. This position offers the opportunity to be involved in many types of projects, supporting our team in a wide variety of surveying, and drafting tasks. Candidates must be proactive, have excellent communication skills, and a professional attitude. Technicians should be prepared to work on multiple projects through all phases of documentation. Candidates must have solid math skills as well as the ability to work quickly and efficiently, maintain a positive attitude, learn, and grow in the position, and lead others.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ year experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

  • Completion of CAD Tech education program or equivalent.

  • Experience in drafting – related professional experience in topographic, boundary, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, and subdivision/acquisition plats utilizing survey data collection point data.

  • Must have the ability to perform basic survey computations, surface modeling, and land records research.

  • Interest in mapping and modeling with UAV (Drone) captured data, a plus.

  • A valid VA driver's, license in good standing, is required.

  • Ability to lift 50lbs.

  • Ability to prepare survey documents with project manager’s direction.

  • Demonstrates understanding of client, project, and team requirements.

  • Strong Organizational Skills - Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, to manage deadlines, and prioritize assignments.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and other team members.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
